The panel features aformer college professor, Lauretta Werner Merriman, a music teacher with years of audition preparation experience, Jennifer Madge, and a parent of a current music major, Claudia Rizzo, offering perspectives from both educators and families.

All students and families interested in pursuing music (whether a major or a minor) at the college level are invited to attend.

Becky Keeley and Lauretta Werner Merriman will tell parents and students all about what we have in store for our students enrolled in the Comprehensive or Associate Membership plans.

Is your child interested in starting lessons? At our Meet the Instruments Workshops children will be introduced to the instruments taught here at The Pittsburgh Music Academy - violin, viola, cello, piano, flute, and a variety of brass instruments - with the help of hands-on exploration and guest musicians.

Students and their caregiver will learn fundamental voice technique singing in this week long class. The students will learn individual skills and to sing as a group. The class culminates in a performance on the final day. The curriculum is based on the principles of the Suzuki Voice Method and will also include activities from the Kodály and Dalcroze Eurythmics Methods.
