WEEKLY EVENTS:

REGISTRATION

Dear PMA Students and Families,

It’s time once again for Pre-Registration for the next school year. The 2010/2011 season flew by, as they all seem to do, but there were significant accomplishments here at PMA. Every child who played a graduation recital,

every family whose Pre-Twinkler turned into a Twinkler, and every student who mastered what seemed at first impossible can attest to the good work that happened here this year. You, the parents and families, and our amazing faculty have brought about many successes in the past eight months.

We are pleased to be able to offer you a high-quality product. Our teachers are all trained not just as musicians but as teachers with special skills in the Suzuki method of music education. Our many classes, performance opportunities, and special projects like the Coast-to-Coast Musical road Trip, the PPG Wintergarden Concert, the Chamber Orchestra, the Home Concert Project, and the Harmonies for the Hungry Marathon help to develop the sense of community you find at PMA. We appreciate all of your help in bringing new families to the school.

This fall we will need to raise our prices for the first time in two years. You will be paying $5.00 per month more for tuition, which still includes private lessons and group classes. However, we will be extending the sibling and second instrument discounts to those who pay monthly. We are very excited about our new group class program, which is going to be quite different this year. Group classes above the Pre-Twinkle level will all be 45 minutes long and will be before or after a 30-minute Performance Class, in which the students who have a solo prepared will play for each other in an informal recital. We have consolidated the group class days – in Carnegie, piano and string groups will be either Wednesday or Saturday, flute and guitar groups on Tuesday. In our East End location, all groups will meet on Tuesday evening.

Again this spring we are asking you to fill out a survey in order to receive a coupon for $5.00 off your yearly registration fee. You can find the survey at the link below and then print the coupon after completing the survey. The offer is only good if you complete the registration and pay by June 30, 2011. http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/WJCJ2S6

We look forward to many more years of making music with you!

Sincerely,

Kiki Barley
