PMA Parent/Student Memo

Week of January 9, 2012 - Semester I, Week 17

Thanks to all who played so amazingly well at yesterday's recitals! All of you sounded great and we were proud of you.
We will have two recitals at PMA East this coming Sunday, Jan 15, the first one at 1:00pm and the advanced class recital at 2:30pm. If you need to rehearse with piano for your performance, please come 30 minutes early for the 1:00pm recital and 40 minutes early for the 2:30pm recital. We would also like to have all the families bring some snack food to share so we can all celebrate together.
Pre-Twinkle Camp for new beginners will take place at PMA Carnegie on Sat., Jan. 21 from 2:30 to 5:00pm. If you know anyone with a child age 4 to 8 who is interested in starting Suzuki music lessons, please invite them to attend our camp.
Get ready for our Guitar Extravaganza with guest clinician Mir Ali! Those of you who have met Mr. Ali in his previous visits to PMA or at the Suzuki institute know what a great teacher he is and how much fun you'll have with him on Sat., Feb. 4 at PMA. There will be a charge for the day, which will include a masterclass, group class, faculty performance, and potluck supper followed by a seminar for teachers, but PMA students will receive a discount. Watch for more details to follow.
Have you signed a photo release form for PMA? It's important that we have your permission to use any photos we have of your child in our ads, on our Facebook page, or in any brochures we print. We certainly don't want to include pictures if it's not ok with you, so please fill out a form.
