Joshua Malave

Joshua Malave is a composer from Montdale, Pennsylvania. He works as a dance accompanist, a teacher, pianist, and cellist. His compositions can be heard frequently around Pittsburgh at house parties, chamber music performances, and orchestra concerts. He holds a masters degree in music composition and a performance certificate from Northern Illinois University and a bachelor’s degree in music from Mansfield University. His music has been featured at the Nief Norf summer festival, Vox Novus’s 60x60, and by the American guild of organists. His teachers include composers David Mcgrew, T. J. Anderson, David Maki, and Samuel Adler. Josh has also studied chamber music with the Avalon string quartet and the Eaken Piano Trio.
